The start of the new fiscal year is almost upon us, we want to pause and reflect on our work as we seek to meet the needs of our diverse and wonderful community.

Over the previous year, we have:

• Working to integrate Intentional Peer Support with the youth at the Friends For Change activity group.
• Supported youth in created passion projects designed to contribute to the community.
• Shared resource and collaborated with community partners, hired a new director and prevention specialist.
• Been successful in having two recovery coaches receive tobacco cessation training.

Stay tuned as we look forward to our upcoming plans:

• Building intentional youth leadership through Advisory Board involvement as well as collaborating with schools around restorative practices, OVX/VKAT tobacco groups, and youth LGBTQ+ supports.
• Partnering with Turning Point Recovery Center of Springfield and other community partners to grow and strengthen life-saving recovery and overdose prevention services in the Bellows Falls area.
• Engaging with families with younger children with playgroups, parent dinners, education around LGBTQ+ in early childhood centers, and much more.
• Supporting LGBTQ+ community members with referrals, resources, activities, and a safe space to visit.

GFC Guides
